Creative Workshops

In 2006, I started using poetry and music as educational tools. I’ve found them to be deeply effective in helping people to better understand themselves and the world around them. Past workshops have focused on such issues as bullying, racism, body image, genocide, civil rights, ecology, as well as religious festivals, prayer and faith.

In these interactive workshops, the participants themselves demonstrate that everyone – yes, everyone – is a writer, poet and/or rapper. The results have been powerful, and feedback from students and teachers has encouraged me to take this work to more and more schools, universities and communities in many different countries.
